LIU is wanted for offering bribes to an officer of the Hong Kong Immigration Department. She had, on twelve occasions between 1991 and 1993, offered corrupt payments totaling about HK$100,000 to the officer as a reward for his affixing immigration stamp impressions onto passports that were used by illegal immigrants from the Mainland to gain entry to Hong Kong or other countries. She was arrested and later charged for a bribery offence on 20 October 1993. She absconded court bail on 23 November 1993. |
