ICAC Statement

ICAC Commissioner Woo Ying-ming today (April 9) issued the following statement:

“It is with profound sadness that the ICAC announces the passing away of Director of Investigation (Government Sector) Mr Ken Ho King-yeung on April 7 due to illness. On behalf of all colleagues of the Commission, I wish to extend our deepest condolences to Mr Ho’s family.

Mr Ho joined the ICAC in 1996. He was appointed Director of Investigation in 2020 and since then had led the ICAC’s two Investigation Branches in combating corruption cases in relation to the private sector and the government sector respectively.

Mr Ho served the ICAC for nearly 28 years. He carried out his anti-corruption duties with the utmost dedication and commitment, displaying exemplary leadership as well as strategic thinking skills. Always happy to share his experience, Mr Ho was well respected and loved by colleagues. Everyone at the Commission is proud of Mr Ho who dedicated his life to Hong Kong’s anti-corruption cause, and will always remember the time we spent together.”

Assistant Director Diman Mak Wai-keung will be acting as Director of Investigation (Government Sector) with immediate effect.
