In response to media enquiries, an ICAC spokesman today (Thursday) said the ICAC had completed its investigation into complaints received in August 2014 against an officer of the Lands Department, alleging corruption and/or misconduct in public office concerning her land purchase/use in Yuen Long. Based on the findings of the investigation, the ICAC has sought legal advice from the Department of Justice, which is of the view that the evidence is insufficient to establish that the officer concerned has committed any criminal offence, and decided that no prosecution should be instituted.
