Prosecutions
|
Apart from prosecutions, the ICAC investigations sometimes result in cautions. Cautions are administered to adults involved in minor cases that the Secretary for Justice considers not to be in the public interest to prosecute. The offenders involved must have made full admissions of the offences concerned. The ICAC also refers cases of misconduct or malpractice of civil servants to government departments for disciplinary or administrative action.
