Introduction

Directing a company is a challenging task, and has never been more so than before in the increasingly competitive business environment. Corporate leaders must stay ahead of the game and keep abreast of the complex ethical issues and challenges that may develop into corruption and fraud. To help them master the evolving corporate governance and ethical challenges, the Independent Commission Against Corruption has brought together the regulators, relevant professional bodies, and major chambers of commerce to launch the first ever coordinated training programme for company directors: "Ethics - The Core Value of Leadership" and its inaugural event: the "2007 Directors' Forum".

The Forum will empower the participants to:

gain insights into the latest development of directors' ethics from business leaders, senior officials from the government and regulators, and senior members of the relevant professional associations;
benefit from case study discussion and expert analysis to broaden their knowledge and skills in handling ethical dilemmas in the workplace;
learn from leading authorities, other company directors and senior corporate executives the pitfalls that other organisations have encountered;and
better equip with best practices in corruption prevention and ethical leadership.
