What's Next

The inculcation of values and enhancement of governance cannot be achieved overnight and must not be a one-off exercise. To sustain the momentum of promoting directors' ethics, there will be a sequel of initiatives to the 2007 Directors' Forum. Mr Kenneth TING, SBS, JP, Chairman of the Hong Kong Ethics Development Advisory Committee, indeed wrapped up the Directors' Forum in his vote of thanks by calling on corporate leaders' staunch commitment to uphold ethics as the core value of their leadership and highlighting the way ahead. (Please click here for Mr TING's speech.)

Initiatives in the months to come include:

Organising a series of thematic seminars/workshops to further explore the ethical issues identified from various perspectives for company directors and their professional advisors.
Producing a corruption prevention kit for company directors for their handy reference to practise ethical governance and keeping abreast of new developments and requirements.
Producing a video to trigger discussion in future training programme.
Providing tailor-made corruption prevention services to individual organisations upon request.
Please watch out for our updates!
