In 1985 the Department established the Advisory Services Group (ASG) to offer free and confidential advice to private sector companies on how to prevent corruption.

	One of the statutory duties of the ICAC's Corruption Prevention Department is to assist the private sector, upon request, to prevent corruption.

	Since its establishment, the Group has advised more than 3,000 companies on system control, covering a great variety of businesses including manufacturing, trading and financial services etc.
