Operations Department, Community Relations Department* and Corruption Prevention Department* timely organise recruitment exercises for the posts of ACACO and CACO(M/L). The recruitment process includes written examinations (English, Chinese, the Basic Law and National Security Law Test), assessment centre, an interview board, integrity vetting and medical examination. Applicants, who apply for jobs in the Operations Department, are required to take additionally a psychometric test and a physical fitness test.

Physical Fitness Test

Operations Department officers are required to be physically fit and encouraged to lead a healthy lifestyle due to the demands placed upon them by being law enforcement officers. The compulsory Physical Fitness Test involves a 15m Progressive Aerobic Cardiovascular Endurance Run, Grip Strength Test, 1-minute Push-ups and 1-minute Sit-ups.
