The secretive nature of corruption makes investigation more difficult

The Operations Department has been adopting proactive and effective strategies to combat corruption through:

• establishing an extensive liaison network by strengthening information exchange and cooperation with the public and private sectors;
• providing support for the investigation of corruption and related offences by using advanced information technology to obtain and analyse criminal intelligence;
• organising and conducting informants and undercover investigations.
