Online IAACA Training Programme, 29-30 June 2021 - Save the date

June 2021

As an active member of the international anti-corruption community, the ICAC has long been a close partner of the International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities (IAACA), an independent, non-political anti-corruption organisation composed of institutions responsible for investigation, prosecution and prevention of corruption around the world. The ICAC Commissioner, Mr Simon Peh, serves in the Association as a member of the Executive Committee and the Convenor of the Training Committee.

Since its establishment in 2006, the IAACA has organised a series of conferences, training seminars and awareness-raising events to promote international cooperation in the fight against corruption. In May 2019, the Association co-organised with the ICAC a 1.5-day training programme, back-to-back the 7th ICAC Symposium. The event attracted about 180 anti-corruption practitioners from different jurisdictions around the world.

Riding on the success of the training event in 2019 and to sustain the momentum of capacity building for anti-corruption practitioners around the world, the IAACA is going to organise a new training programme in collaboration with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on 29 and 30 June 2021. The event, which will be held on virtual platform, includes sharing by leading figures of anti-corruption authorities, international organisations, multinational corporations, NGOs and members of civil society. The six panel discussions feature a wide range of anti-corruption topics such as beneficial ownership, business ethics and community engagement in preventing corruption amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The agenda, list of prominent speakers and registration procedures can be found on the event website https://iaacamacc.sprm.gov.my/. You and your colleagues are welcome to join the event to have an exchange with the speakers and other anti-corruption practitioners online. For enquiries, please contact the Event Secretariat at iaacamacc@sprm.gov.my.
