ICAC steps up international training for global fight against corruption
May 2018
Corruption, with its increasingly complex and transnational nature, requires global efforts to keep it under control. Early this year, the ICAC set up a dedicated unit to help anti-corruption agencies in other jurisdictions (including Belt and Road countries) build and strengthen capacity to fight graft through providing tailor-made training and consultancy services within the framework of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC).
In April, the ICAC Commissioner called upon the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) of Myanmar and had an in-depth exchange on customised training programme to be offered to ACC.

The ICAC Commissioner also visited the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to discuss collaboration in organising training initiatives for members of the International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities which comprises more than 300 anti-corruption agencies around the world.

So far, discussions have been held with our counterparts in Sri Lanka, Timor-Leste, Bangladesh and Kazakhstan to provide ICAC's capacity building trainings on investigation, community education and systemic prevention.

In the spirit of international cooperation and technical assistance, the ICAC welcomes anti-corruption counterparts interested in our new initiative to contact us for more details.
