ICAC shares Hong Kong's anti-corruption experience at the World Justice Forum V in The Hague

ICAC"s Director of Community Relations, Mr Raymond Ng, as invited by The World Justice Project (WJP), shared Hong Kong"s successful experience in fighting corruption in the topical panel "Combatting Corruption: New Approaches and Proven Strategies" of The World Justice Forum V (Forum) held in The Hague, Netherlands on 11th July 2017.

Organised by The World Justice Project, The World Justice Forum V was held on 10th-13th July 2017 in THe Hague, Netherlands. The Forum was attended by over 300 participants from 76 countries.

Using the "ICAC" Formula, a framework encompassing the four pillars of the Commission"s engagement work, Mr Ng explained how attitude change and trust building in the Hong Kong society were brought about in the past four decades thereby contributing to the transformation of Hong Kong from a place with rampant corruption to being one of the cleanest metropolitan cities in the world.

In the panel discussion, Mr Ng also highlighted the critical success factors of the ICAC, the continuous engagement of the younger generation and the effective use of new and social media.

To showcase ICAC"s signature publications, online resources and products in electronic format developed for the business and government sectors, young people and the general public, a publicity booth was also staged at the Expo alongside the Forum. Through this additional platform, the ICAC was able to reach out to the participants from different continents.

Riding on the positive responses generated from the sharing and exchanges with Forum participants, the ICAC will continue to promote Hong Kong"s robust anti-corruption regime to the international community and foster cooperation with our partners in different parts of the world.
