Hong Kong has consistently remained in the band of the top 20 with very low level of corruption in the world in the Corruption Perceptions Index since its launch in 1995. Among 182 countries/territories in the Corruption Perceptions Index 2025, Hong Kong is ranked the 12th least corrupt place, 5 places higher than last year and one of the top performers in the Asia-Pacific region.
