The following is a statement issued by the ICAC in response to press enquiries on the Department of Justice's decision not to prosecute Mr Antony Leung:

"It is the ICAC's duty to investigate corruption allegations in accordance with the law. In the course of investigation, the ICAC always does its utmost to collect evidence. It is the Department of Justice's prerogative to decide on prosecutions.

"In accordance with established practice, this case will be reported to the Operations Review Committee."
