Some 1,000 parents and children today (Sunday) took part in a fun-packed carnival in Shatin, launching the new season of cartoon series produced by the ICAC to promote positive values.

Launching the new Gee-dor-dor series, ICAC Director of Community Relations Ms Julie Mu Fee-man noted that fostering sound morals amongst young people was instrumental in building a probity culture in society.

“As the family provides an ideal base for character building, the ICAC has been engaging parents as its essential partners in promoting moral education amongst children.”

Now in its seventh season, the cartoon series continues to promulgate positive values especially honesty, integrity, fairness and righteousness through short stories featuring characters led by Gee-dor-dor, the flying rabbit.

To ride on the festive season, the new series will be themed on major festivals in different countries.

The 10-part cartoon series will be aired on TVB Jade at 5:15 pm on weekdays starting tomorrow (Monday) for two consecutive weeks. Young audience is also welcome to take part in an online quiz on ICAC’s youth website ( www.iteencamp.icac.hk ) linked with the cartoons.

Apart from game stalls with anti-corruption themes, today’s Gee-dor-dor Winter Carnival also featured rope skipping, dancing and drum performances by primary school students.
