ICAC new advertisement highlights core value of probity
2012-12-8
The ICAC has launched a new advertising campaign, calling on the public to uphold the core value of probity and stand firm against corruption.
The new Announcement of Public Interest (API) uses an “egg” icon to symbolise the core value of probity which the ICAC is determined to protect. It stresses that the people of Hong Kong bear zero tolerance against corruption, regardless of the status of those involved.
ICAC Annual Surveys have shown that the public did not tolerate corruption. Last year, the level of tolerance was found to be close to zero, the lowest level ever recorded.
“The API continues to use the slogan: ‘'91Hong Kong - Our advantage is always you and the ICAC’, reiterating our long standing partnership with the public in fighting graft and maintaining a clean society,” said Principal Mass Communication Officer Mrs Helen Lee.
“The launch of the API also coincides with the International Anti-Corruption Day (December 9) to reinforce the anti-corruption messages.”
Ms Kitty Lun, Chief Executive Officer of the advertising agency which produced the new API, was today invited to share her creative experience with a group of tertiary students enrolled as ICAC Ambassadors.
The ICAC advertising campaign comprises TV, radio and Mass Transit Railway digital TV commercials as well as posters and advertisements mounted on buses.
