ICAC 45th anniversary Open Day invites application for admission tickets

To mark its 45th anniversary, the ICAC will open up its facilities to the public on two consecutive weekends in February and March next year for them to learn first-hand about Hong Kong’s anti-corruption history and the Commission’s latest initiatives.
The ICAC Open Day 2019 will be held at the ICAC Building at 303 Java Road, North Point on February 23 (Saturday; 9:00 am - 6:00 pm) and February 24 (Sunday; 9:00 am - 5:00 pm); and March 3 (Sunday; 9:00 am - 5:00 pm), 2019.
Members of the public will be given guided tours of various ICAC facilities, including the Detention Centre which will be open to the public for the first time, the ICAC Exhibition Hall, mock Video Interview Rooms, Identification Parade Suite, firearms display and game booths. Each guided tour session will last about one hour and 45 minutes.
Except for a Putonghua session and an English session to be held at 3:00pm on February 24 and March 3 respectively, all guided tours will be conducted in Cantonese.
Online application for admission tickets will commence from today till December 28 on the ICAC website (www.icac.org.hk).
Members of the public can also obtain application forms through the following means:
- ICAC website (www.icac.org.hk);
- Ground Floor of the ICAC Building at 303 Java Road, North Point; or
- ICAC Regional Offices.
Completed application forms shall be returned to the ICAC with a self-addressed stamped envelope with sufficient postage by post or in person on or before December 28 (date on postmark should not be later than the closing date). Applicants are also reminded to mark “Application for ICAC Open Day Tickets” on the envelope.
All applicants are required to provide their telephone numbers and email or mailing addresses. Each telephone number should be used for one application only. Each applicant can apply for a maximum of four tickets with specific admission time. Visitors without valid tickets will not be admitted.
A total of about 5,300 tickets will be issued to the public for the event. Should the number of applications exceed the capacity, admission tickets will be allotted through computer balloting.
Applicants will be notified of the result by email or by post by late January, 2019. Successful online applicants will receive electronic tickets, while those applied by post will receive their tickets by mail. Unsuccessful applicants will also be notified.
