2022-7-22

During a visit to the ICAC’s exhibition booth at the “Education and Careers Expo 2022” (the Expo) today (July 22), the ICAC Commissioner Woo Ying-ming said he hoped visitors would gain a better understanding of the agency’s work from the exhibition. He also called on young people who were driven by a sense of mission to join the anti-graft force.

Woo remarked that the Commission’s anti-graft work played a pivotal role in maintaining Hong Kong’s prosperity and stability. He hoped more aspiring young people would join the mission and work together to safeguard the probity culture of Hong Kong.

The ICAC chief welcomed people with different expertise to join the Commission as its work was diversified and challenging, ranging from law enforcement to disseminating integrity messages to members of the public through different educational activities.

This year, the ICAC’s exhibition booth is themed “Stand firm against corruption. Our mission continues”, echoing the latest ICAC TV commercial which highlights the qualities upheld by ICAC officers, namely concentration, faith and persistence. A feature wall and display panels are set up at the booth to introduce the work of the ICAC’s Operations Department, Corruption Prevention Department, Community Relations Department, and International Cooperation and Corporate Services Department. Colleagues from the four departments will personally explain recruitment process and career paths in the Commission.

The booth also features a mega ICAC signature coffee cup for photo taking as well as a gashapon machine for distributing souvenirs to visitors. The Expo is held from July 21 to July 24. Members of the public are welcomed to visit the ICAC booth which is located at the Hall 5G of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The public may visit the event webpage (https://event.hktdc.com/fair/hkeducationexpo-en/) for details.
