ICAC Commissioner visits Liaoning to enhance anti-graft collaboration

ICAC Commissioner Woo Ying-ming today (October 19) has travelled from Beijing, where he attended the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, to Liaoning to meet with officials of local anti-corruption authorities to strengthen collaboration in graft fight.

Upon his arrival in Shenyang, Liaoning today, Mr Woo called on the Liaoning Provincial Commission of Supervision and briefed officials on the latest anti-corruption work of ICAC, Hong Kong’s probity situation as well as the city’s latest development.

“The ICAC and officers of Liaoning anti-corruption authorities have maintained close liaisons over mutual case assistance and exchanges on anti-graft work. Through this visit, we hope to further cement our ties and work in concert to tackle cross-boundary corruption,” said Mr Woo.

Mr Woo will also call on the Secretary of the CPC Liaoning Provincial Committee for exchanges on anti-graft work in the two places. In addition, the Commissioner will visit other local graft-fighting and law enforcement facilities to introduce the soon-to-be-open Hong Kong International Academy of Anti-Corruption and future plans.

ICAC officers accompanying Mr Woo on the duty visit are Assistant Director of the Operations Department Mr Martin Lee King-man, Chief Investigators of the Operations Department Mr Gary Wong Hon-kit and Ms Winnie Wong Hung-wai, and Staff Officer Mr Justin Tung Siu-kei. The delegation will return to Hong Kong on Saturday (October 21).
