ICAC Commissioner leads delegation to attend global anti-corruption law enforcement authorities’ meetings in Beijing

ICAC Commissioner Woo Ying-ming has arrived in Beijing tonight (September 22) to head an ICAC delegation to attend meetings of the Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities (GlobE Network).

Woo, Deputy Commissioner Ricky Yau Shu-chun and the ICAC delegation will participate in the five-day Eighth Steering Committee Meeting and Fifth Plenary Meeting of the GlobE Network commencing tomorrow (September 23). Woo and Yau will respectively address the Head of Agencies round-table discussion, panel discussion, etc. The ICAC delegation will also hold bilateral meetings with various anti-graft agencies to strengthen international exchange and co-operation in combating corruption.

The GlobE Network was established under the auspices of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in 2021 to facilitate direct and informal co-operation among anti-corruption law enforcement authorities to prevent and combat corruption. Its members include over 200 authorities worldwide.
