2025-2-24

ICAC Commissioner Woo Ying-ming, leading a delegation of graft fighters, has commenced a visit to the Middle East today (February 24) to strengthen anti-graft collaboration and exchanges in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Woo called on the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) in Saudi Arabia this morning. The two anti-graft agencies exchanged their latest anti-corruption initiatives. The delegation also visited Mr Chang Hua, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to learn about the local economic and social development. They also briefed Mr Chang on the anti-graft collaboration between the ICAC and local graft fighters.

Starting from today, officers from the ICAC delegation would run a four-day law enforcement training programme for Nazaha graft fighters as a move to strengthen experience exchange between Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia. Woo will continue his trip to UAE on Tuesday (February 25), where he will visit two local anti-corruption agencies as well as the Chinese Embassy in the UAE.

The delegation will return to Hong Kong on Saturday morning (March 1).
