2025-3-4
ICAC Commissioner Mr Woo Ying-ming today (March 4) welcomed the newly appointed Director of Singapore’s Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) Mr Sam Tee to the ICAC, where the two gentlemen exchanged law enforcement experience and views on strengthening anti-graft co-operation.
Mr Tee, along with five CPIB officials, called on the ICAC today. At a bilateral meeting this morning, Mr Woo extended congratulations to Mr Tee on his assumption of office last September. The two anti-graft chiefs also exchanged insights on the latest anti-corruption initiatives.
Mr Woo noted that over the years, the ICAC and the CPIB had maintained close collaboration and strived to contribute to the international anti-corruption cause. It was anticipated that the two organisations would deepen anti-graft cooperation in the future.
Mr Woo, in his capacity as President of the International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities (IAACA), also thanked Mr Tee for serving as an executive committee member of IAACA and his active participation in IAACA’s initiatives. The duo agreed to further step up collaboration over IAACA’s work.
Mr Woo also took the opportunity to introduce the strategy and latest development of the Hong Kong International Academy Against Corruption (HKIAAC), which was established in February last year. The two parties exchanged views on future training collaborations in order to continually strive to elevate each other’s anti-corruption capabilities.
Apart from visiting the HKIAAC, the CPIB delegation also attended a sharing by the Forensic Accounting Group and Computer Forensics Section of the ICAC, and toured various ICAC facilities. They also dropped by Café “1974”, which was opened last November, to learn about ICAC’s newly revamped prevention and education strategies. Furthermore, the delegation called on the IAACA Secretariat Office to gain insights on its work.
