ICAC Commissioner visits Beijing and Shaanxi to foster anti-graft cooperation

ICAC Commissioner Mr Woo Ying-ming today (June 16) commenced a duty visit to Beijing and Shaanxi to exchange the latest on graft-fighting work with Mainland anti-corruption authorities.
Upon his arrival in Beijing today, Mr Woo called on the National Commission of Supervision (NCS) where he met with Deputy Secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and Vice Chairman of the NCS Mr Fu Kui. They exchanged the latest on anti-corruption work and future developments in the two places. The meeting was beneficial to the ICAC in understanding and drawing reference from the Country’s anti-corruption experience in order to align with the national graft-fighting policy and further deepen mutual assistance and collaboration between Mainland and Hong Kong.
The ICAC delegation will depart for Xian in Shaanxi Province tomorrow (June 17). On Wednesday (June 18), the delegation will meet with officials of the Shaanxi Provincial Commission of Supervision and other officials concerned to exchange views on mutual assistance and cooperation in law enforcement. The delegation will also take the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the local probity culture and development.
ICAC officers accompanying the Commissioner on the duty visit are Director of Investigation (Private Sector) of the Operations Department Mr Bryan Chong Ka-lok, Principal Investigator of the Operations Department Mr Gary Wong Hon-kit, Chief Academy Officer of the Hong Kong International Academy Against Corruption Mr Davyn Wan Wing-hung and Chief International Cooperation Officer of the International Cooperation and Corporate Services Department Ms Crystal Lee Ngan-yan. The delegation will return to Hong Kong on Friday (June 20).
