2025-12-31

The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) today (December 31) warned members of the public not to be deceived by fraudulent videos containing content impersonating ICAC officers.

The ICAC has recently received reports and enquiries indicating that several videos containing content impersonating ICAC Commissioner Woo Ying-ming and ICAC officers are circulating on social media platforms and a mobile application, claiming that the ICAC is connected to a company named “China Cloud Parking”, with the intention to entice the public to invest in the company.

As the incident involves impersonation of ICAC officers, the Commission has launched an investigation into the matter. The ICAC solemnly clarifies that the content of these videos is entirely fabricated and has no connection to the ICAC. The remarks by the Commissioner are fictitious and the individuals in the videos are not ICAC officers. The ICAC has no connection with “China Cloud Parking”.

The ICAC advises members of the public to stay vigilant and not to fall for the scam. Should there be any suspicions of impersonation of ICAC officers, the public are advised to immediately make enquiries or file reports with the ICAC at its 24-hour hotline: 25 266 366. The public should report to the Police or call the enquiry hotline “Anti-Scam Helpline 18222” of the Anti-Deception Coordination Centre of the Police should there be any suspicions of scams.
