ICAC chief visits Guangzhou and Shenzhen to foster anti-graft cooperation

ICAC Commissioner Mr Simon Peh Yun-lu today (Monday) commences his three-day official visit to anti-corruption and law enforcement authorities in Guangzhou and Shenzhen for stepping up exchanges and enhancing cooperation in various aspects, including the mutual case assistance scheme.

In Guangzhou today and tomorrow, Mr Peh will call on Mr Zheng Hong, Chief Procurator of the Guangdong Provincial People’s Procuratorate, to update him on the Commission’s initiatives and learn about the latest development of Mainland’s anti-corruption work.

Mr Peh will also meet with Mr Huang Xianyao, Secretary of Guangdong Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection, and Mr Wang Yanshi, Director of Guangdong Provincial Supervision Department, to exchange experience in the fight against corruption on both places.

On Wednesday (May 25), Mr Peh will depart for Shenzhen where he will call on Mr Wang Yanlin, Chief Procurator of Shenzhen Municipal People's Procuratorate, to exchange anti-graft experience in both places and foster cooperation in various aspects, including the mutual case assistance scheme.

The ICAC Commissioner will also meet with Secretary of Shenzhen Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and call on Shenzhen Municipal Supervision Bureau to exchange anti-graft experience.

Accompanying Mr Peh are Mr Ricky Yau Shu-chun, Director of Investigation (Private Sector) of the Operations Department, and Mr Lawrence Chung Wan-hon, Acting Principal Liaison Officer of the Community Relations Department. The delegation will return to Hong Kong on Wednesday (May 25).
