ICAC chief announces senior directorate appointments

ICAC Commissioner Mr Simon Peh Yun-lu today (Thursday) announced that Mr Ricky Yau Shu-chun will act as Head of Operations with effect from July 18, 2016 (Monday).
Mr Yau, 51, now Director of Investigation (Private Sector), joined the ICAC in 1994 as an Investigator. He was promoted through the ranks to Assistant Director in 2007 and appointed Director of Investigation in 2014.
Mr Yau holds a Bachelor degree in Social Sciences from the University of Hong Kong, and a Master of Science degree in Public Sector Management from Aston University, Birmingham, United Kingdom.
Ms Rebecca Li Bo-lan, acting Head of Operations, will proceed on final leave on July 18.
The ICAC Commissioner also announced that Mr Choi Shu-keung, now an Assistant Director of Operations, will act as Director of Investigation (Private Sector), subsequent to Mr Yau’s appointment.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner also announced that Acting Director of Community Relations Mr Raymond Ng Kwok-ming has been promoted to Director of Community Relations with effect from June 13.
Ms Rita Liaw Lily, now an Assistant Director of Community Relations, will act as Director of Corruption Prevention with effect from July 18 when incumbent Director of Corruption Prevention Mr Tse Man-shing will commence his pre-retirement leave.
The Commissioner took the opportunity to pay tribute to Ms Li and Mr Tse for their dedicated service in the ICAC and remarkable contribution to the fight against corruption.
