An ICAC spokesperson tonight (Friday) noted that Acting Head of Operations Mr Ricky Yau Shu-chun, who earlier sought for a resolution of agreement with the Commission, withdrew his application after staff members of the Operations Department expressed profound wishes for him to remain in office and after having considered the overall interest of the Commission. The Commissioner, who all along had requested Mr Yau to stay, approved his withdrawal request. Mr Yau will continue to act as Head of Operations, while Mr Ricky Yu Chun-cheong will remain as Director of Investigation (Government Sector), and Mr Ricky Chu Man-kin will be appointed Director of Investigation (Private Sector) with effect from August 1, 2016.
