ICAC Commissioner visits Macao counterparts to foster closer ties

The ICAC Commissioner Mr Simon Peh Yun-lu today (May 5) leads a delegation to visit the Macao Commission Against Corruption (CCAC) and the Macao Public Prosecutions Office (PPO).
The visit, scheduled at the invitations of CCAC Commissioner Mr Cheong Weng-chon and Prosecutor General of Macao Mr Ip Son-sang, will allow exchanges on the latest development of anti-corruption initiatives in the two places.
Upon arrival this morning, Mr Peh will call on the PPO and meet Prosecutor General Mr Ip Son-sang.
In the afternoon, the ICAC chief will visit the CCAC and meet Commissioner Mr Cheong Weng-chon to exchange views and step up cooperation in fighting corruption.
The delegation will also visit the Criminal Proceedings Office of PPO and Declaration of Assets and Interests Office of CCAC to learn first-hand about their work.
ICAC officials accompanying Mr Peh on his visit include Mr Raymond Ng Kwok-ming, Director of Community Relations; Mr Ricky Yu Chun-cheong, Director of Investigation (Government Sector); Mr Ho Wai-chi, Assistant Director of Corruption Prevention; Mr Joseph Lee Yat-sau, Secretary to Commissioner; and Mr Raymond Kong Yim-kwan, Chief Investigator of the Operations Department.
The delegation will conclude its visit and return to Hong Kong this evening.
