Over 600 people interested in joining the ICAC today (Sunday) took part in a career talk held at the ICAC Building to learn first-hand the mission and responsibilities of graft-busters.

At the career talk, seasoned ICAC officers from the Operations, Corruption Prevention and Community Relations Departments respectively shared their experience in enforcing the law, managing preventive studies and organising community education programmes in the fight against corruption.

During the question-and-answer session, participants displayed keen interest in the daily operations of the three departments and qualifications required for becoming ICAC officers in different streams.

Potential applicants were also introduced to the newly launched “ICAC eBooks Tablet Application” and the “ICAC Smartphone Application” to gain easy access to more than 130 e-publications of the Commission and keep abreast of the latest anti-corruption news.

Participants also visited the ICAC Exhibition Hall which showcased the anti-corruption history of Hong Kong. There were also demonstrations of the physical fitness test that applicants for the post of Assistant Commission Against Corruption Officer (ACACO) in the Operations Department were required to take.
