Warning on suspected fraudulent ICAC website

The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) warns the public that a suspected fraudulent website with the domain name www.icachk.com was found.
An ICAC spokesman said, “While the suspected fraudulent website resembles the ICAC corporate website in its layout, it contains some sections where members of the public are asked to provide their identity card numbers and bank account information.”
The ICAC has reported the case to the Hong Kong Police Force. Anyone who has provided his or her personal information to the suspected fraudulent website or has conducted any financial transactions through the website should contact the ICAC through its 24 hour hotline: 2526 6366.
