ICAC 50th Anniversary Open Day
17-18 and 24-25 August 2024 @ ICAC Building in North Point
The ICAC 50th Anniversary Open Day was held over two consecutive weekends in August 2024, allowing the public to learn first-hand Hong Kong’s anti-corruption journey over the past five decades and the Commission's latest initiatives.
The facilities displayed and activities arranged for this open day were the most extensive ever. In addition to the always popular Video Interview Room, Identification Parade Suite, Detention Centre and firearms equipment, a special "TV Drama Series Exhibition" was set up, showcasing classic photos and highlights from TV dramas produced by the ICAC over the years. The ICAC also opened the Hong Kong International Academy Against Corruption, which was officially established in February 2024, to the public for the first time, with staff demonstrating a virtual reality investigation training system called "VR Smart". The ICAC's cartoon character "Little Coffee Bean" also appeared in the open day, interacting and taking photos with children. Participants could also try the famous ICAC coffee and obtain limited-edition ICAC souvenirs through interactive games.
The ICAC 50th Anniversary Open Day received more than 5,000 participants, allowing the ICAC to tell the Hong Kong’s good anti-corruption stories with the general public.
