Clean HYK Committee Elections
 

Similar to other public elections, the election of Special Councillors for the Heung Yee Kuk is also regulated by the Elections (Corrupt and Illegal Conduct) Ordinance (Cap. 554). The legislation, enforced by the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), aims to uphold honesty and prevent corrupt and illegal conduct in all tiers of public elections.

To help candidates, election agents and electors better understand the spirit and provisions of the legislation and avoid inadvertent infringement of the law, the ICAC has launched a series of education and publicity activities to promote the "Support Clean Elections" message in respect of the Heung Yee Kuk Members Election as follows:
