Citizens learn anti-corruption work first-hand on ICAC Open Day

2022-7-9

The ICAC today (July 9) held an Open Day for members of the public to learn first-hand Hong Kong’s anti-corruption journey and the latest graft-fighting initiatives.

Participants were guided through various facilities at the ICAC Building in North Point, including the Detention Centre, Video Interview Rooms, Identification Parade Suite and the Exhibition Hall. Firearms used by ICAC officers were also on display.

In addition, visitors also enjoyed a rich variety of activities including interactive game booths and photo-taking corner.

The ICAC Open Day 2022, one of the initiatives to mark the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, would be held on three weekends in July. The initiative demonstrates to members of the public the Commission’s commitment to fight corruption and appeal for their continuous support in upholding the core values of integrity, fairness and rule of law.

A total of about 10,000 tickets had been distributed earlier to the public through computer balloting. Members of the public with admission tickets are reminded to attend the guided tours according to the dates and time slots specified on their tickets.

Members of the public tour the ICAC Exhibition Hall to learn about the Commission’s anti-graft history and landmark cases.
