HKSA members visit ICAC

Twenty-six members of the Hong Kong Society of Accountants (HKSA), including four Council members, visited the Operations Department of the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) this (Saturday) morning.
Assistant Director of Operations Gilbert Chan Tak-shing briefed the visitors on the Department's overall operation and the work of its Financial Investigation Section (FIS), which was set up last year to investigate complex financial aspects of corruption cases.
The delegation toured various facilities of the Department - the 24-hour Report Centre, Video Interview Room, Identification Parade Room, Operations Control Room and the Detention Centre.
Today's visit was part of ICAC's proactive liaison activities. Similar visits have been organised for other professional bodies and organisations to enhance their understanding of ICAC's work.
