More than 1,000 local and overseas representatives from 10 regions and places will set their focus on ethical management in a two-day forum organised jointly by the Independent Commission Against Corruption and the Civil Service Bureau.
Entitled “Turning Challenges into Opportunities - Ethical Leadership Forum 2000”, the event will take place on March 30 and 31, 2000 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The forum aims to assess how ethical management could address the challenges faced by leaders in both the public and private sectors in the new millennium.
Besides local participants, the forum will be attended by representatives from the Mainland, USA, United Kingdom, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, France, Japan and Malaysia.
The Chief Executive of HKSAR, the Honourable Tung Chee Hwa, will officiate at the opening of the forum at 9:30 am on March 30 (Thursday) in Theatre 1 & 2 at Phase I of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Wan Chai, Hong Kong.
Mr Tung’s address will be followed by keynote speeches by Mr Alan Lai Nin, ICAC Commissioner; Dr Edgar Cheng, Head of Central Policy Unit; and Ms Anissa Wong, Acting Secretary for the Civil Service.
