Community Project Fund Open for Application
2001-4-20
Community bodies are invited to apply to the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) for funds in organising district activities that promote the anti-corruption cause.
Fund amounting to $75,000 has been allocated for the current fiscal year under the ICAC’s Community Involvement Programme (CIP). The maximum grant for an approved district-based project and cross-district project will be $5,000 and $20,000 respectively.
Proposed activities aimed at promoting fairness, honesty and a sense of responsibility amongst community members could also apply.
Submitted proposals will be judged on their objectives, contents, scale of activities and effectiveness in advancing the anti-corruption cause and positive values.
Proposed projects could take the form of workshops, exhibitions, seminars, competitions, leadership training programmes, and carnivals. All applications will be vetted by the Community Liaison Sub-Committee of the ICAC’s Citizens Advisory Committee on Community Relations.
Apart from monetary grant, the ICAC will provide advice on and technical support to the approved projects. Audio-visual facilities, exhibition boards and other corruption prevention publications will also be offered if required.
Interested bodies can obtain application forms and related information from the ICAC’s regional offices or call 2929 4563 for enquiry. The deadline for application is May 2, 2001 (Wednesday).
