Multi-jurisdictional approach for ICAC Chief Investigator Command Course

Twenty-six officers from the ICAC, Mainland procuratorate authorities and other local and overseas law enforcement agencies, today (Friday) graduated from the 23rd ICAC Chief Investigators Command Course after completing a five-week intensive professional and management course.
This year's Command Course was characterized by its multi-jurisdictional approach and emphasis on challenges posed by rapid advancement in information technology and socio-economic changes, according to an ICAC spokesman.
A one-week study visit to Mainland's Supreme People's Procuratorate and the National Procurators College in Beijing was arranged for the participants for the first time.
The course is also accredited with the distance learning MBA programme of the University of South Australia International Graduate School of Management.
Apart from 12 ICAC officers, two senior officials from the Anti Corruption Bureau of Beijing Municipal People's Procuratorate and Hebei Provincial People's Procuratorate are amongst the graduates.
Participants also included senior officers from Singapore's Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau and Police Force, Malaysia's Anti-Corruption Agency and the Comissariado contra a Corrupcao and the Procurator Office of Macau.
The course was also attended by officers from the Hong Kong Police Force, Immigration Department, Customs and Excise, Correctional Services Department, Fire Services Department and the Securities and Futures Commission.
