ICAC announces promotions to Operations Department's senior posts

The Independent Commission Against Corruption today (Saturday) announced that Principal Investigator Mr Kenny Tso Wai-yan will be promoted to become an Assistant Director of Operations, with effect from October 16, 2002.
Mr Tso, 50, is to fill the post left vacant following incumbent Assistant Director of Operations Mr Gilbert Chan Tak-shing’s appointment as Director of Investigation.
Mr Tso joined the ICAC in 1974 as an Assistant Investigator. He was promoted to Chief Investigator in 1983, and Principal Investigator in 1994.
Mr Tso has broad investigative experience dealing with corruption cases concerning the private sector, government departments and public bodies as well as election offences.
At present, Mr Tso heads an investigation group mainly responsible for strategic planning, training and development, legal research and the handling of corruption complaints from the public.
Meanwhile, two Chief Investigators, Ms Rebecca Li Bo-lan and Mr Tony Lui Shu-tung, have been promoted to Principal Investigators, also with effect from October 16, 2002.
