Eight and a half years' jail for Police Constable for trafficking in heroin

A Police Constable was today (Tuesday) sentenced to eight and a half years' imprisonment by Deputy Judge Derek Pang at the Court of First Instance for trafficking in a quantity of heroin.
Leung Chun-man, 33, was today found guilty of one count of trafficking in a dangerous drug unanimously by a jury.
The defendant was arrested during an ICAC corruption investigation last year.
The charge stated that on September 10, 2001, Leung had unlawfully trafficked in a dangerous drug, namely 97.13 grammes of mixture containing 76.63 grammes of heroin hydrochloride, inside a private vehicle at the junction of Tung Hei Road and Mong Lung St reet, Shau Kei Wan.
The prosecution was today represented by Senior Government Counsel Jonathan Man, assisted by ICAC officer Hanna Chan.
