Over 130 global conference delegates visit ICAC

More than 130 delegates from law enforcement agencies and organisations the world over yesterday (Friday) called on the ICAC to see for themselves Hong Kong's anti-graft strategy, following their participation in the three-day ICAC-Interpol Conference.
The delegates, many of whom were first-time visitors to the ICAC, were briefed on the Commission's three-pronged strategy in fighting corruption being carried out by the Operations, Corruption Prevention, and Community Relations Departments.
They also toured various facilities of the Operations Department, including the Exhibition Hall, Operations Control Room, Video Interview Rooms, Report Centre, Detention Centre, and Identification Parade Room.
Amongst the visitors were delegates from international organisations and overseas jurisdictions, including Albania, Brunei, Cambodia, Kenya, Lesotho, Lithuania, Mauritius, Nepal, Nigeria, the Philippines, Poland, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Swaziland, Tan zania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
The ICAC-Interpol Conference, entitled " Partnership Against Corruption ", participated by more than 500 delegates, including over 300 from 60 jurisdictions outside Hong Kong as well as eight international organisations, concluded yesterday.
