Ex-security guard charged for allegedly accepting bribes from reporter for unauthorized access to shooting site

A former security guard was today (Friday) charged by the ICAC for allegedly accepting and soliciting bribes from a reporter of a magazine for unauthorized access to a location-shooting site of a film company.
Tse Fai, 30, formerly employed by Group 4 Falck (HK) Limited (Group 4), will appear in Western Magistracy at 9:30 am on Monday (June 2) on two counts of accepting an advantage as an agent, and one of soliciting an advantage as an agent, contrary to Sectio n 9(1)(a) of the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance.
Group 4 was enlisted by the film company to provide security services at its location-shooting site in Victoria Road, Hong Kong, where admission was restricted to relevant artistes and crew members.
Two of the charges alleged that Tse had accepted $300 in total from a reporter as rewards for allowing the latter to remain on the location-shooting site, and to take photos therein.
Tse was also alleged to have solicited $500 from the reporter as a reward for videoing acting scenes and costumes of a film at the location-shooting site.
The alleged offences took place between February 1 and 5, 2003.
Tse has been released on ICAC bail, pending his court appearance on Monday.
