An ICAC spokesman confirmed that one more person has been arrested today (Friday) in connection with its investigation into alleged corruption over preferential treatment of certain singers in a music billboard, which resulted in a territory-wide operatio n in the past two days.

The arrestee, a chief executive officer of an entertainment company, has been released on ICAC bail, pending further inquiries.

So far, 23 persons have been arrested, while 29 other individuals have been interviewed in relation to the investigation.

Arising from the same inquiry, the ICAC yesterday arrested another two persons for alleged bribery over the acquisition of a visa for the United States by the chairman of the entertainment company.

The arrestees, who were associates of the chairman of an entertainment company, have been released on bail. It was alleged that they had attempted to acquire a US visa for the chairman with bribe payments.

Inquiries are continuing.
