DPC and two others charged for alleged perversion over Police identification parade

A Detective Police Constable (DPC) and two civilians were today (Wednesday) charged by the ICAC for allegedly perverting the course of public justice by interfering in a Police identification parade in relation to a suspected robbery case.
Chan Kin-kwan, 27, DPC; Leung Chi-wai, 26, unemployed; and Tsang Kwok-wai, 28, kitchen worker, will appear in Tuen Mun Magistracy at 9:30 am tomorrow on one count of doing acts tending and intended to pervert the course of public justice. Leung further f aces one count of robbery.
The trio was earlier arrested by the ICAC during a corruption inquiry.
The defendants are alleged of intending to pervert the course of public justice by having induced and procured a victim of a suspected robbery case not to identify a suspect at an identification parade in March 2002.
Leung also faces one count of robbing the victim of a necklace in May 2001.
Chan was investigating the suspected robbery case at the time of the alleged offences.
