A Senior Police Constable was today (Friday) charged by the ICAC for allegedly using false receipts to interfere with a Police internal investigation, and stealing his warrant card for sale.
Lau Ka-keung, 38, will appear in Eastern Magistracy at 9:30 am next Monday (June 28, 2004) on one count of using false instruments and one of theft.
Lau was arrested by the ICAC during a corruption inquiry in December last year.

The other charge alleges Lau of stealing a Hong Kong Police warrant card in his name on December 8 last year.
Lau was alleged to have offered to sell his warrant card, being property of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, for $15,000.
The defendant has been released on ICAC bail, pending his court appearance on Monday.
