ICAC brings in new blood to fight graft

A batch of 13 newly recruited ICAC officers will today commence their careers as anti-corruption specialists after the completion of a specially designed five-week intensive induction training course.

These new officers will be posted to the Community Relations and the Corruption Prevention Departments, to join their experienced colleagues in providing corruption prevention education and services to various sectors of society.

Speaking at the passing out ceremony today (Tuesday), ICAC Commissioner Raymond Wong Hung-chiu reminded them to uphold a high standard of personal integrity, and to continuously upgrade their professional edges in providing services to the public.

These new recruits, selected from over 2,800 candidates, were given all-rounded training on various aspects of ICAC's work, anti-corruption laws, presentation skills and team building.

The officers also visited other agencies in Macao and the Mainland, including the Zhuhai Municipal People's Procuratorate, the Zhuhai People's Court, the Macao Commission Against Corruption, and the Macao Public Prosecutions Office.
