District Fight Crime Committee members visit ICAC

2006-1-14

Seventy members of the District Fight Crime Committee (DFCC) visited the ICAC this week to learn first hand the latest corruption situation and major anti-corruption efforts of the ICAC.

Greeting the visitors, ICAC Commissioner Raymond Wong Hung-chiu said DFCCs had long been a close partner of the Commission in fostering a culture of probity in the community and combating corruption.

The DFCC members, who visited the Commission on Tuesday (January 10) and today (Saturday) in two separate batches, were briefed on the Commission's work by representatives of ICAC's three departments.

While Assistant Director of Community Relations, Ms Julie Mu Fee-man, updated the visitors on the latest corruption scene and the Commission’s new education initiatives, Principal Investigator Ricky Yu Chun-cheong encouraged them to report to the ICAC when they come across any suspected corrupt activities.

Corruption Prevention Department's Group Head, Mrs Wendy Mark Ng-Quinn Wan-yee, introduced the department's corruption prevention work for the public sector and its consultancy services available for private organisations.

The DFCC members also toured various ICAC facilities, including the ICAC Exhibition Hall, Video Interview Room and Identification Parade Room.
