In response to press enquiries, an ICAC spokesman today (Wednesday) confirmed that four persons have been arrested in the past two days in relation to a corruption inquiry over alleged false claims of service charges purportedly concerning various program mes of the Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) between 1995 and 2001.
The arrestees included a Senior Programme Officer, a disc jockey and a former disc jockey of RTHK, and a civilian.
The ICAC investigation, arising from a corruption complaint, revealed that the arrested Senior Programme Officer, the disc jockey, and the civilian had allegedly conspired to submit bogus claims for service charges purportedly incurred in various RTHK pro grammes.
The bank accounts of the arrested former disc jockey and the civilian had allegedly been used as conduit for receiving payments from the radio station.
All the arrestees have been released on ICAC bail. Inquiries are continuing.
