Eighteen new ICAC officers start anti-graft mission

Eighteen newly-recruited ICAC officers have started their anti-corruption mission following a six-week comprehensive induction training programme.

Speaking at the passing out ceremony today (Monday), ICAC Commissioner, Mrs Fanny Law Fan Chiu-fun, urged the officers to uphold a high standard of personal integrity, and to discharge their duties without fear or favour and in strict accordance with the law.

She also called on the new recruits to continuously sharpen their skills and abilities to embrace new challenges arising from the globalisation of economy and technological advances.

The officers, who will serve at the Corruption Prevention Department, the Community Relations Department and the Operations Department, received comprehensive training on various aspects of ICAC's work, anti-bribery laws, presentation skills and team buil ding.

They also visited other agencies in Macao and the Mainland, including the Zhuhai Municipal People's Procuratorate and the Macao Commission Against Corruption.
