Pupils from about 60 kindergartens had joined the Gee-Dor-Dor musical competition organised by the ICAC to learn positive values such as honesty, fairness and self-discipline.
The ICAC has launched TV cartoon series and moral education teaching packages featuring cartoon characters including flying rabbit Gee-Dor-Dor to instill virtues such as honesty, fairness and self-discipline among children.
Eight kindergartens took part in the final competition held earlier at the Kwai Tsing Theatre. After their interesting and entertaining performance, Buddhist Kam Lai Kindergarten and TWGH Liu Yan Tak Memorial Kindergarten were awarded the co-champion, wh ile TWGH Ko Teck Kin Memorial Kindergarten and Endeavourers Chan Cheng Kit Wan Kindergarten won the first runner-up and second runner-up prizes respectively.
Speaking at the prize presentation ceremony, ICAC's Director of Community Relations, Mrs Erika Hui Lam Yin-ming, said the project was aimed at nurturing positive values amongst children through their participation in the Gee-Dor-Dor musical performance.
The musical competition was co-sponsored by the Lion Clubs International District 303 (Hong Kong & Macau), which also joined hands with the ICAC in producing the Gee-Dor-Dor teaching package.
The video clips of the competition would later be uploaded onto the ICAC's newly-launched website designed for primary school students - Kidsland ( www.kidsland.icac.hk ).
