About 250 primary school students were commended for helping spread positive values such as integrity and honesty in schools under ICAC’s “Superkid” project.
Speaking at the awards presentation ceremony of the project yesterday (Saturday), ICAC’s Assistant Director of Community Relations, Mr Francis Li Kwok-kay, praised the students for using their creativity to promote positive values in their schools and encouraged them to continue these worthwhile endeavours.
From about 100 primary schools, the students have attended a series of programmes on creativity, communication skills and disc jockey training and visited the ICAC to learn first-hand about Hong Kong’s anti-corruption work. They have used various creative methods to put across positive values amongst their schoolmates and promote ICAC’s website Kidsland ( www.icac.org.hk ) through e-cards and badges.
Led by young artiste and former representative of the Hong Kong swimming team Alex Fong, the students yesterday pledged to uphold the principles of fairness and self-discipline and do their best to spread moral values.
Meanwhile, some of the students were also presented with prizes at the ceremony for outstanding performance in various competitions, including the web promotion competition of the Kidsland .
ICAC’s Kidsland is a website specially designed for children aged between six and twelve, in promoting positive values through Gee-dor-dor cartoons, comic strips, e-games and competitions.
